Faction rules

General Rules

  1. All players MUST have a working clipping software (Nvidia or AMD for shooting clips).
    • All interactions between factions MUST be 2 minutes. This is to ensure proper roleplay and proper build-up in all situations.
    • Any clips with missing or no audio will be considered invalid.
  2. If anyone from your gang goes OOC, your clip will be invalid (if the opposing gang goes OOC and your gang remains in-character, your clip will still be valid).
  3. Piggybacking, escorting or carrying during the clip will also result in the clip being invalid.
  4. Any clip that is clipped over with Xbox Game Bar will result in an instant punishment.
  5. Anything requested by FM MUST be provided.
  6. You must clip every kill for POV request reasons.
  7. When clipping, you MUST provide us with an ID (flex “U” muscle to bring up IDs).
Warning: Any attempt to hide health, stamina or armor in your HUD will result in immediate punishment.

Point System

There is a point system. Points can be appealed; however, if your faction reaches a total of 6,000 points it will be disbanded.

Interaction Rules

  1. There is a 30 minute cooldown on the target gang after interacting, unless the opposing gang comes to you.
  2. Revenge reporting and petty reports are NOT allowed. You have 24 hours to report. You have 30 minutes to request a POV for any scene; after that it will be deemed invalid.
  3. If you are contemplating reporting a faction and you decide to make a ticket after the opposing faction, you are no longer allowed to have any negative interactions between you and the opposing gang you are reporting until the report has been handled.
  4. If one member is cheating, the punishment will affect the entire gang (4 players caught cheating = 2 STRIKES).
  5. You are only allowed to be in ONE gang. You cannot create multiple characters in multiple gangs.
  6. You are not allowed to have any violent interactions, shooting or killing 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after a restart.
  7. You are NOT ALLOWED to initiate interactions inside of green zones.
  8. If you feel like a rule is broken, continue the roleplay until the scene is over, then open a ticket.
  9. Gangs are required to wear their identifier at ALL TIMES such as flags, chains, vests, clothing items, etc. (Any reported scenes without the identifier will result in a punishment.)
  10. Interfering in an active scene between two opposing factions will result in a faction strike. Repeated violations of this rule may lead to your faction being STRIKED (clipping will be required).
  11. Retaliation Rule — once Party A attacks Party B, Party B will have 1 hour to attack back. If Party A attacks Party B again within the 1 hour, they will be punished.
  12. You CANNOT rob the same gang multiple times without abiding by the 30 minute cooldown.
  13. You can rob anyone in a faction with three negative interactions against the opposing faction (all three interactions MUST be posted in your thread and approved by FM).
  14. If you are in traffic, the maximum number of members who can go on a robbery/slide is six; that applies to Tier 1 and Tier 2 factions. Only Tier 3 & Tier 4 factions are allowed to commit robberies/slide with eight members.
  15. If someone is following you for two minutes, you ARE ALLOWED to shoot at them to defend yourself. This can happen before and after the beef is approved.
  16. If you are caught lacking, 2v1 with weapons out can fight back; 3v1 must fear and put hands.
    • Only melee vs. melee combat is allowed. Any matchup involving a gun against a melee weapon is not allowed.
    • Killing and robbing in the same scene is NOT ALLOWED (the scene will be voided).
  17. Once EMS arrives on scene, you MUST STOP SHOOTING COMPLETELY. (If you get picked up by EMS on scene, you must LEAVE the scene.)
  18. Crutch Rule (defined): gang members on a crutch cannot be killed unless they heavily provoke the opposing faction (e.g., clear aggression, taunting, or interference in an active situation).
    • When pushing or sliding into an opposing faction's area, be aware of who is on a crutch and who is not before engaging.
    • If you are on a crutch, do not intentionally linger in hostile situations or bait others into killing you for the purpose of filing a report.
    • If you are actively communicating over the radio during a live shootout or active combat situation, you may be considered involved and can be shot, even if on a crutch.
    • Use common sense at all times and avoid petty or unnecessary reports.
  19. When roleplaying with PD, you must always show some type of common courtesy when it comes down to certain scenes that lead to shootings.
    • Gang members cannot shoot at PD unless it is a last resort regarding a chase (failure to comply with this rule will result in an immediate, non-appealable punishment).
  20. Valid forms of initiation: you can respond violently without the interaction if someone does the following:
    • Refusing to leave the block (must warn them to leave 3 times).
    • Aiming/upping a gun at someone.
    • Snitching on a gang/person.
    • Threatening someone's life (using words such as, but not limited to, “I'll kill you” and “I'm spinning back”).
    • Stealing someone's vehicle.
  21. You are NOT ALLOWED to intentionally camp hidden locations for the purpose of robbing or killing people (this includes: black market, item farming areas, money wash, etc.).

Attack/Defense & Sliding Rules (Approved Beef)

  1. There is a 30 minute cooldown on the target gang after sliding, unless the opposing gang retaliates.
  2. Gangs with approved beef are allowed to spin the opposing gang up to 3 times. After the third spin, they are cleared to hop out and initiate shooting — so stay alert and be on point at all times.
    • In return, if the gang being spun recognizes the car, after the third spin it can be taken as a clear act of aggression, and they are allowed to open fire on the vehicle.
  3. Drivers are NOT ALLOWED to shoot in a moving vehicle.
  4. Only 5 and 6 seater vehicles are allowed.
  5. You are ONLY allowed to slide with 6 members max.
    • You CANNOT slide one deep on an opposing gang, unless you are in traffic and catch one member from the opposing gang loafing.
    • If you are in traffic with an opposing gang, the sliding cap does not apply; it's only for block to block.
  6. You cannot arrive late to a scene and initiate an attack. Any individual who did not participate in the initial engagement with the original group will be considered as committing a double attack.
  7. If there are 4 or more people present on the block, no one should have guns out unless there is an active, immediate threat.
    • Tier One sliding cap — 6
    • Tier Two sliding cap — 8
    • Tier Three sliding cap — 10
    • Tier Four sliding cap — 12
  8. If you shoot at a gang first (this makes you the attacker — in traffic or on the block), the cooldown DOES NOT apply to the opposing gang that was attacked — they are allowed to retaliate.
    • This cooldown is placed to prevent constant back-to-back sliding and to allow each other to expand the roleplay throughout the city.
  9. If a gang member is asked what gang they are in, they MUST make it known in addition to wearing the designated identifier. You should claim your gang no matter what.
Warning: IMPORTANT: if you are caught spinning a gang you do NOT have approved beef with, your entire gang will face severe punishment.

Civilian vs Gang Rules

  1. During a robbery scene involving a gang member, you are expected to roleplay and fear for your life (failure to do so will result in a character kill (CK) or pocket wipe).
  2. Gang members are also able to get CK'd if they are provoking civilians.
    • If the civilian has built up roleplay (proven through a series of 5 negative interaction clips) of the player threatening their life consistently, once the civilian takes action and kills them it could be deemed a valid CK.
  3. You ARE NOT allowed to kill innocent civilians unless you are provoked or have the proper roleplay behind it (please keep in mind, if a civilian sends you or your gang up, have all the supporting documentation).
    • Shooting/killing should not be the first response to a civilian provoking a gang member (only in extreme cases, if a civilian interferes with a gang shootout or provokes you in a disrespectful way).
  4. Civilian Interaction Rule (defined): if a civilian initiates an illegal interaction with a gang member (such as attempting to purchase drugs, weapons, or other illegal items), the gang member may scam them after two minutes have passed from the start of the interaction.
  5. The two-minute timer begins once the civilian clearly engages in the transaction.
  6. Robbery is only permitted if the civilian is the one who initiates the illegal transaction.
  7. Gang members may not force or bait civilians into illegal interactions in order to scam or rob them.

Faction Robbery / PK Rule

  1. If you fail to roleplay during a robbery and do not comply (ex: not putting your hands up), you will be CK'd.
    • Your character will be killed and must be renamed.
    • You will be added to the graveyard section of the Discord (the opposing gang will be up on the score).
  2. You ARE NOT allowed to rob a dead body.
  3. If you are caught spinning alone and you die, you will be CK'd.
  4. BODYBAG RULE: if you are bodybagged, it will result in a FULL CK.
    • Character is fully wiped.
    • All assets and items are gone.
Note: If you have donor items, you may open a ticket to reclaim them.
Note: Rules are subject to be changed at any time.

Faction Tiers

Factions can tier up based on approved beef. Faction drops will be given biweekly based on approved beef, and will consist of drugs, ammo, guns and melees.

  • 3

    Official Faction

  • 7

    Tier 1

  • 14

    Tier 2

  • 21

    Tier 3

  • 35

    Max Tier

Approved beefs required for each tier.

“Approved beef” means gangs — for example, after being approved for beef with 10 different gangs, you gain Tier 1.

All faction interactions must take place within a 2-week (14-day) span to be considered valid for faction points, tier progression, or any other faction-related credit. Interactions that fall outside the 14-day window will not be counted or accepted. Faction owners are responsible for keeping accurate records and ensuring all interactions submitted are within the valid timeframe.

No exceptions — keep your interactions current.

KOS / War Rules — War Format

These rules apply to all KOS/wars in Love Story. Failure to follow any rule may result in round loss, war DQ, gang strikes, and/or bans depending on severity.

  • Wars are first to 5.
  • All participants must bring their own guns, ammo, and drugs.
  • Wars are allowed any day of the week.
  • 1 hour to lock ticket.
  • If a team wins the OG and the opposing gang wins the double, either it evens out or play full pot and winner takes all 3 wins.
  • You must be in a KOS VC during ANY war (unless agreed upon).
  • 1 sub by default.

POV & Clip Rules

  • When requesting POV you must post your death.
  • ANY POV must contain 5 seconds before and 3 seconds after.
  • Death POV is required when acquiring any POV request. The player who dies must be the one to call POV — nobody else.
  • If POV is requested, the player has 5 minutes to provide it by:
    • Uploading the clip.
    • 3+ kills is an auto post — you must post or it's a ban.
    • Joining VC & screen sharing the POV if the player doesn't have Nitro.
  • Clip must be a minimum of 30 FPS.
  • POV must include all audio — Discord, in-game, etc.
  • You only get one post request per round.
    • If on Clip Watch, you may be asked to post any time during the war (you're valid 1 request without death POV per KOS).
    • You have 2 minutes to retrim after the first post.
  • Failure to provide POV results in an automatic loss of that round.
  • Failure to provide POV x2 is an auto game DQ + player placed on Clip Watch.
  • Someone with the “Clip Watch” role has 1 hour to post all kills from the war, or the war will be reverted.

Combat Rules

  • No cheating (instant ban, full war DQ, and gang strikes).
  • No crouch shooting of any type.
  • No aqua peeking.
  • No off-Q peeking.
  • No drug shooting.
  • No shooting from rooftops, mountains, or high ground.
  • No helmets of any kind.
  • Calling “W8” requires the entire team to stop playing immediately.
  • If anyone continues playing after a “W8” call, the round is awarded to the opposing team.
  • First violationRound loss
  • Second violationWar DQ
  • Killing someone other than during the KOSRDM
  • RDM x1Round DQ
  • RDM x2 or moreWar DQ

Clothing & Gang Requirements

  • Teams must wear the same outfits. Failure to do so is a round RR (unless agreed).
  • All players must have the same Discord roles. Playing with anyone without roles will be a war DQ & gang strike.

DQ Rules

  • If the war is locked, the host is present, and the whole team is at the war map, then you can start a 10 minute DQ (whole team must be present).
  • If the match hasn't started, the DQ is 10 minutes — must be ready with the whole team and must have proof (DQ is 5 minutes after the first round has been played).
  • DQ timer must be announced (ex: “DQ started, ends :05”).

DQ reasons

  • Caught cheating
  • FTP x2
  • Mass RDM

Clip Quality Requirements

  • Tracers must be clearly visible (default tracers don't count).
  • Bitrate and FPS must be high enough to clearly see all actions (30fps+).
  • Only NVIDIA or AMD clipping software is allowed.
  • Renaming clips is a war DQ and placed on Clip Watch.
  • If you have Nitro, you MUST post — you can NOT screen share having Nitro.

Crashes & Disconnects

  • If a player crashes or F8 quits, they must screen share loading back in. Failure to notify an admin why you F8'd will result in a player DQ.
  • A war admin must be present during the screen share.
  • Waiting in queue DOES NOT pause the DQ timer — only the loading screen does.

Banned Player Rule

If any member of a gang has been banned from another FiveM server for cheating, and the opposing team can provide proof, the player will get Clip Watch.

This only applies to cheating bans. Nothing else.

Reasons to Call RR

  • Player killed by a player with a spider (must be killed by the person with the spider)
  • Killed by a ghost or chip
  • City res mid round
  • Invalid clip posted
  • No tracers
  • Killed OOB
  • Drug shooting
  • Radio shooting
  • Exploit shooting (doing emotes while shooting)
Warning: Outside comms is a game DQ (extra people caught in a VC or on radio). No props is a player DQ and a ban.
Note: Rules are enforced as written and can change at any time.
